Things that happened this week – KAMCAB Land-

1. Thing that happened 1

So so pleased to hire internally in the Bureau to a very important role- To support our new Project of supporting clients with Council Tax Debt.   A dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer who has given so much to the Bureau in the last 6 months has landed the role.  A real Win Win.  We get a dedicated member and he gets the invaluable experience in the Council Tax Debt work- this is the perfect springboard to a young man who has a brilliant career in front of him.

2. Thing that happened 2

Love the way we can get things done in the Third Sector.  An ask to my Board on Tuesday has resulted in a new post out there advertised the next day.  This is such a vital role that I had tried to fill in other ways but became evident that only a Staff Member could really inhabit it- Love the way we can quickly move and get going with what we need.  Thanks to the Board.  Exciting to see what Fish lands in the Bureau from the Net of Recruitment.  New Staff is a wonderful elixir for sure.

3. Thing that happened 3

Similar to how great the Third Sector is in getting Stuff done is also the way we can support each other.  Our conscientious Welfare Rights Officer was left with an Empty Folder as a Handover.  She is keen to not repeat the Gift for future Staff.  An email out to the 58 CAB Managers in the Scottish network resulted in a flurry of invaluable resources and offerings.  This is priceless and is the WHY we WORK in the vibrant field of Third Sector Scotland- THANKS.
