The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Good things:

Networking Community Event on Saturday hosted by our local Fire Bigrade brought out the families in Stonehaven and a real buzz as the community gathered together and services networked.  These events as well as being real fun provide so many beneficial fruits for the growth and development of our services that ripple back with positive outcomes for the communities we service

Difficulties:

As the saying goes- A door shuts and one opens- A candidate did not turn up for the new post last week but just needed to sit and pause.  Took the risk to ask the second choice who had already taken another position and the Gods aligned and she said Yes.  The only reason she was second choice was she was too overqualified for role.  Do not ask do not get- What a stroke of Lady Luck.

Achievements:

Again, a lesson on just waiting with a vacuum.  A gap appeared in our provision as a Staff member left but with the new candidate and willing volunteer interest it is quickly plugged.   Takeaway- I love how quick things can move and transform in the Bureau.  No stagnant ponds here!
