Uni of Aberdeen - Volunteer Fair
On Thursday the 19th of February we had the pleasure of attending the University of Aberdeen's Volunteer Fair, co-hosting our stall alongside, South West Aberdeenshire Citizens Advice Bureau.
It was a day filled with engaging conversations and meaningful connections. We are grateful to have received such an amazing response from those interested in our volunteering opportunities.
We would also like to acknowledge the sheer variety of backgrounds of these individuals that we spoke with. Though we don’t have the space to list them all, some included, public health, politics, history, engineering, zoology, archaeology and criminology. It was wonderful to gain an insight into these backgrounds and discuss how these skills and interests could flourish within the Bureau.
It was also a perfect day for networking and reminding individuals and other organisations, of what the we do and how we can offer support and advice for those who need it.
If you are interested in volunteering, all of our generalist and triage advisers, receive a SCQF Level 6 qualification after completing comprehensive adviser training programmes. But equally if advising isn’t for you, there are a multitude other volunteering opportunities that we can offer.
