HK Week Notes 9th May 25
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Good things:
So rewarding to see the work of the Team captured in the amount of money they have put back into the pockets of our clients and written off debts- Just short of £700 K this month- quite an achievement and testimony to the Team here at KAMCAB.
Difficulties
Challenge of pulling together upcoming projects and fitting it into our existing services but the good will and flexibility of the Team will allow the newcomers to come on board. Getting that Cinderalla’s slipper on!
Achievements
Great work from Citizens Advice Scotland in securing unrestricted funding from Foundation Scotland- 2 years of funding into the network is a great vote of confidence and support of the Bureau family throughout Scotland.
What I learned this week
This week I reflected on a comment by a facilitator at the Manager Conference last week who said that the Citizens Advice Network is all about reducing the impact of poverty in Scotland. I can see how we impact and can greatly support this work at both the local level of where our Bureaus are located and the national influence the Social Policy works pulls together. A great blend for sure.
