HK Week notes 16/10/25

Overarching feeling of the week:

Aware of just how easy it is to procrastinate- Had a funding bid to get in – Managed to engage in a lot of distraction.  Learning is that there is some more learning and experience to be had in this realm.  Also there is no magic answer but just to get going and get the experience.  So a relief I got it off my To Do and submitted.

Nothing better than completing those challenges and I am looking forward to the time when it becomes more automatic and repeatable.  Love that submitted notice on my desktop.

Also, a great thing this week is the truer representation of our waiting times.  This is a process of rounding cats with so many variations in the figures with a team of volunteers and staff but the current stats show the flexibility and responsiveness of that is the heart of our delivery:

• Emergency- within 2 days
• Urgent- 1-2 weeks
• Non-Urgent- 3-4 weeks

A good journey from the standard 5 week waiting time when I started a year ago- Result.
